Donna Parker, unlike most of the other series protagonists of the time, is a character that
most of us growing up in the 50s and 60s could identify with. She had two parents, her mother wasn't
over-indulgent, she wasn't free to roam around finding and solving mysteries. She went to school,
she and her best friend grew apart as they grew older and their interests changed.
I read and re-read Donna Parker in Hollywood when I was younger. Like so many of the series,
I knew there were more books but I never got a chance to read them. Now that I have copies of them
all I will be reading them in order shortly. I don't know that I'll review them here though, as I
don't think I could do the series justice half as well as Linda has already done on her Donna Parker webpage.

Linda's Donna Parker webpage is an excellent and thorough summary of the
series. Don't miss the rest of her site while you're there, her writing is quite captivating.
