history

For several years I neglected all my crafts and became totally absorbed in the Internet. But gradually, a few things happened to make this website a reality.

1997
I visited Nemia Rucker and asked about availability of cross stitch patterns. Nemia referred me to Ann Marie at Mufu. I received a pattern for Secrets in the Garden. All my craft supplies were packed away in storage, but it sat patiently and waited for me.

When I saw Socar's Images in the Clouds the first thought I had was I'd love to cross stitch that. It also reminded me of the untouched pattern I already had.

Hunted down that pattern, went to Michaels and bought material and thread to begin the fairies' bodies, began stitching.

After four weeks of stitching during all my free time, I re-installed my scanner and documented my progress.

Obtained the domain name craftaholic.net.

Uploaded the first pages, concentrating on content rather than graphics at this point. Still a long way to go before I'll be ready to announce it to the world. Still a lot of missing pages.

Further updates will be listed here.
